Biography

FBI

Agent Clappers FBI

Agent Clappers first appeared in the episode "Big Ball Energy", where he told Paradise Police Department that he was taking over the houndstooth meth case. Randall was opposed to this, thinking that Agent Clappers had some "real balls" doing something as presumptuous as taking an important drug case away from the authorities. Ironically, it was revealed that Agent Clappers had some massive testicles, as seen by the bulge in his pants, which Karen found herself getting sexually aroused by. Agent Clappers went on to steal the houndstooth meth evidence as well as the heart of Karen.

Following the demeaning of Randall, Agent Clappers kicked the latter, while he was down when he continued unsubtly to seduce his wife into loving him for his balls and mocking Randall for it right up to his face.

Big Ball Fight

Randall fills his scrotum with a bunch of testicles and went to have sex with Karen. He thought it was a good idea to crush her face with his gigantic ballsack, which instantly got her sent to the hospital. In the hospital, Agent Clappers went to her bed with flowers to check on her. At this point, Randall was fed up with Agent Clappers hitting on his wife and challenged him to a "ball off". In this ball of, Randall and Agent Clappers both took turns, kicking each other in the balls to see who had better balls. Randall kicked Agent Clappers in the scrotum and the latter had a pained look on his face but he still held it together. Agent Clappers kicked Randall back, which caused his sack to rip open and for all the balls to dump out of his sack like an avalanche, making Agent Clappers the "Ball Champ".

In "The Father, The Son, and The Holy Post-It Note", Randall got fed up with the fact that Agent Clappers was doing nothing with the houndstooth meth kingpin case that he previously stole from him and went on a public barrage to insult him, upon his stage, during his public sendoff to his long-time employee, Agent Dunfore.

Later, Agent Clappers took Kevin into his car with him and tried to convince him that his father was a criminal who was up to no good and that he needed to keep an eye out for him. Kevin initially denied his father being a criminal and refused to go along with whatever Agent Clappers was telling him to do.

Destroyed FBI

Later, Randall broke into the FBI Agency and stole the houndstooth meth evidence back from Agent Clappers. Agent Clappers immediately suspected Randall but he didn't have any proof that it was him. That's what he made Kevin wear a wire so that he could get Randall to admit to his crime so that he could arrest him.

Later on, Randall admitted to breaking into the FBI to Kevin, just as planned and got promptly arrested by Agent Clappers and the rest of the FBI.

Legion of Dooooom

Clappers Laugh

At the end of the episode, Agent Dunfore used the evidence that Randall stole and uncovered The Legion of Dooooom and found Gerald Fitzgerald as the kingpin and arrested him. Just then, he was shot dead by Agent Clappers, who was revealed to be a villain, who was actually working for Fitz the whole time, explaining why he took the houndstooth meth evidence and did nothing to put an end to it.

In "Flip the Vote", Fitz revealed to Randall that Agent Clappers was working for him.

At the end of the episode, Agent Clappers was among the many Legion of Dooooom members to attack Paradise P.D. and Karen in a blazing gunfire, running them out of town.

Clappers Grovels at the Knees of Fitz

In "Operation DD", Agent Clappers told Fitz that recently, his plans have gotten way out of hand, once they started involving nuclear weapons and said that he was going to quit the business. Unfortunately for him, Fitz threatened that if he left, he would vandalize his family portrait, getting Clappers to grovel at his feet.

Agent Clappers Falls to His Death

After Fitz kidnapped Paradise P.D., Agent Clappers set them free and helped them escape. Randall tackled Fitz to stop him from vandalizing the Clappers family picture and Agent Clappers got the picture back. Unfortunately for him, Fitz had ruined the picture with his fingerprints, leading the latter to commit suicide by jumping out the window. As Agent Clappers plummeted to his demise, he saw a billboard advertising a very cheap photo restoration company, that would have helped clean his family portrait of the fingerprints. Sadly for Clappers, it was too late for him to make this choice, as he was already falling to the ground. Agent Clappers quoted his last words, "Ain't that a bitch?" just before crash landing into the ground and presumably dying in a pool of his own blood. Although he could have landed safely in a pool of pizza sauce.

Leadership of the Mutants

Listen Up My Mutant Brothers

After a long absence for the former half of Season 3, Agent Clappers made a miraculous and triumphant return in "How the Cookie Crumbles", revealing that he did survive the fall after all. Clappers appeared in the Mutant Ghetto to meet all of the mutants effected by the bombing of Paradise. Initially, Agent Clappers wanted to keep his identity a secret and come off as a dark, mysterious figure but Clovis turned on the light and exposed him to everybody, which really pissed him off. Agent Clappers said that he was a victim of the nuclear mutation too as the nuclear bombing shrunk his testicles a very small, nearly unnoticeable amount, (only 5%). Because of this, he swore vengeance on Fitz and would not rest until he had his revenge. Agent Clappers deemed himself the leader of the mutants and the mutants all followed suit.

Clappers' role as the mutant leader first came into play in "Blind Drunk", where he took the company in a different direction. Clovis, their previous leader made it his mission to kill Fitz but Clappers had an even better idea; to tear Fitz's life apart piece by piece and make him suffer so bad that he'll pray for a death that he'll never let come. The mutants liked this idea and they followed Clappers' orders in torturing Fitz.

Cloroforming Fitz

Agent Clappers went down to Fitz's Apartment while he was sleeping and led the mutants in replacing all of his furniture with even bigger versions of it, thinking it would drive Fitz mad. Clappers and the mutants watched from spy cams in their spy van but Fitz somehow didn't even seem to notice that everything in his apartment was 10 times its size.

Agent Clappers tried again to fuck with Fitz's head by replacing all of his furniture with extremely tiny versions of it but again, Fitz couldn't even tell the difference.

At the end of the episode, Clappers spied on Fitz in the bar and heard him admit to Dr. Funtlichter that he actually did notice his furniture changing size after all but he cured this by getting some medicine from him. However, Fitz ran out of medicine and then started to go crazy for real, noticing how medium sized everything was. Agent Clappers watched in delight as he finally chipped away at the first block into driving Fitz down a long and painful road of madness and misery.

Loquacious Hits on DQ

In "The World According to LARP", Clappers spied on the Fitzgerald Family at the Paradise Beach and saw just how happy Fitz was with his new wife, Dolphin Queen. Agent Clappers seized the opportunity to break them up and ruin Fitz's life just a little bit more. He roller skated up to Dolphin Queen, while she was at the tropical punch bar in disguise as an extremely sexy man named Loquacious Pussyjuice. He tried to seduce her into cheating on Fitz with him but she didn't respond to his advances.

Back at the Mutant Ghetto, Clappers wondered why Dolphin Queen didn't respond to him. Just then, Clovis came up with some useful information. He told him that Fitz and DQ's son, Junior Fitzgerald was actually the son of DQ and Bullet. This gave Clappers an idea on how to finally ruin Fitz and DQ's marriage.

Agent Clappers Blackmails DOlphin Queen

Agent Clappers met up with Dolphin Queen at Goopy Goobers in his regular attire. He told DQ that he knew she was unfaithful to her husband and told her that unless she wants him to tell Fitz the truth, she'd sign a forged "Dear John" letter he made and leave town for good. The note detailed that Dolphin Queen had dumped Fitz for somebody else. This somebody else being the famous, Loquacious Pussyjuice. Fitz received the note and was heartbroken to hear about how his wife left him.

In "Fetal Attraction", Agent Clappers introduced Phase 3 of his master plan to ruin Fitz's life; the plan was to lure Fitz into an apartment, where he'd get kidnapped by robot arms that would pull his dick out and then have his hand stuck in a glass of water, causing him to pee straight into Pee Wee Herman's mouth on national television but first, he would need to get on Fitz's good side.

Welcome Officer Cloppers

Agent Clappers applied for a job at Paradise P.D. under the alter-ego, Officer Clippers, from the fictional town of Bullshitsberg, North Dakota. Randall saw eight through this because there was no Bullshitsberg in North Dakota. Clappers left and immediately returned with a minutely altered disguise, claoming to be Officer Cloppers from Bullshitsberg, South Dakota. Randall bought this disguise and immediately after hiring him to join the crew, he partnered him up with Gerald Fitzgerald because they were both black.

Cloppers and Fitz in the Car

In the squad car, Clappers and Fitz discussed 80's basketball, complaining about how it's not as good as it used to be and reminiscing about all the great things the sport had to offer back in the 1980's. Agent Clappers was so nostalgic for finger rolls, scoobity doobs, and Wilt Chamberlain, etc. but his favorite thing about basketball was the short shorts. He enjoyed how he could see the bottoms of people's balls all game long. He revealed that his fondest childhood memory was on February 5th, 1985, when he sat court side at The New York Knicks play The Seattle Supersonics. He could see the bottom half of Patrick Ewing's shiny testicles the entire game. Agent Clappers was also surprised to find out that he wasn't the only person who listened to Michael Bublé, Celine Dion, and the Mortal Kombat theme song all play at the same time, as Fitz did this too. The two of them rocked out to the mixed up jam and Agent Clappers found himself really bonding with Fitz, big time.

Clippers Pushes Gerald to Safety

Agent Clappers ended up growing attached to Fitz and had second thoughts about getting revenge on him. Fitz told him that he didn't need to worry about his shrunken balls because his family should love him for who he is. Clappers took this advice to heart and then completely decided against hurting Fitz. When he saw that Fitz was about to fall into the trap, Clappers rushed in to save him by pushing him to the side and sacrificing himself to enter the trap. As such, Clappers got captured by robots, got his hand wet, and peed into Pee Wee Herman's mouth on national television.

Mrs. Clappers Shuns Her Husband

Agent Clappers worked up the courage to return home and face his family after being absent for months. When he came back, his family was initially happy to see him but when he revealed that he had tiny balls now, his family was torn apart, emotionally distraught, and the dog was even driven to suicide. Mrs. Clappers shunned Agent Clappers from the family and he was kicked out of the house. From then on, Clappers' hatred for Fitz was back on and stronger than ever.

The Moment is Here

Despite betraying the mutants, Clappers was apparently allowed to rejoin the team in "PARAD-ISIS" and maintain the role of their leader. Agent Clappers and some mutants went to kidnap Junior and leave a ransom note in Fitz's apartment, so that he could be lured over to the Mutant Ghetto to save him. When Fitz got to the mutant ghetto, he had Bullet tag along with him only for them both to get trapped in The Mutifier, which was a machine Agent Clappers invented to mutate Fitz and make him suffer the same fate he and the other mutants did. Agent Clappers broke Fitz's heart by revealing to him that Junior was actually Bullet's son and then threw Bullet in there to get mutated with him, as per request of Fitz. However, Fitz flipped the switch on the mutifier and made the effects work on the outside and by mutating the already mutated mutants, he demutated the mutants and set them back to normal, including Agent Clappers, whose balls grew 5% and returned to their normal state. Agent Clappers thanked Fitz for returning him to normal and called off his revenge as he and the other former mutants went back to their normal lives again. In Clappers' case, he went back home to see his broken family and showed them his newly repaired balls, which made them love him again. The Clappers Family was once again reunited just in time for Christmas.

The Resistance

Despite his betrayal, Agent Clappers was let back into the FBI. One of his missions he was tasked with was taking down the Italian mafia leader, Bobby Bubblebutt. In "Good Jeans", the FBI used technology to turn him into a pair of pants so that he could go undercover and be worn by Bobby Bubblebutt. Unfortunately, things went awry when Randall stole Bobby's pants and wore them for himself, throwing a monkey wrench into Clappers and the FBI's plans. The final straw was when Randall jizzed on the back of Clappers' head, making him break character and put an end to the whole pants charade.

Agent Clappers returned in "Boat!", as the leader of the underground vigilante organization, The Resistance, bent on taking down the corrupt organization, Lovely Corp. Agent Clappers was still in the form of pants and now, he was being worn by a guy named Norf, whose sole purpose was just to make him mobile and not contribute to the team in any other way.

In "King of the Norf", Agent Clappers explained that his vendetta for wanting to destroy Lovely Corp is that their company was responsible for making the technology that turned him into pants and that unfortunately for him, the transformation was irreversible and now he's stuck and pants forever. Originally, Agent Clappers thought that review-bombing Lovely Corp's products would take the company down but this didn't work at all. Kevin suggested they instead kidnap Thester and pump him for information and Clappers liked it, ignoring the fact that Norf suggested the same thing a few days ago.

Agent Clappers went in disguise as some pants at the laundromat, where he jumped up on Thester and attacked his face. Norf tried to help him but Clappers demanded he leave him alone since he wasn't really a member of the team. Thester ripped him in half but both halves of Clappers' body wrapped around Thester's fists, allowing for Clappers to make Thester punch himself in the face.

After returning to their secret hideout, Agent Clappers was sewn back together and he threw himself back onto Norf so that he could interrogate Thester. He was very quick to make Thester spill the beans about Lovely Corp having a load-bearing pole that, if destroyed, would lead to the literal downfall of their corporation. Their only window of time for accessing the room with this pole was during the Lovely-Jabowski Wedding. Kevin wanted to spend this time, infiltrating the wedding to get Gina back but Clappers demanded that he focus on the actual mission instead.

Clappers and the other members of The Resistance went to the doors to the room with the load-bearing pole but none of them were physically capable of opening the door, except for Norf, who Clappers refused to let participate. Eventually, they were busted by the Lovely Corp guards and arrested, thanks to Kevin snitching on them for selfish reasons. The guards had Norf shot dead, much to Clappers' dismay, as Norf was actually Clappers' best friend. Clappers tried and failed to fight the guards off by himself and damned Kevin as he got hauled off to prison.

In "The Eternal Reckoning", Agent Clappers laid folded up in the corner of his prison cell, wallowing in his sadness over getting Norf killed. Fortunately, Norf returned, apparently having survived the gunshot to the head, thanks to his low metabolism. Agent Clappers joyfully threw himself back onto Norf's legs, only to cuss him out again, pretending he never missed him to begin with. Clappers fought alongside the party dudes against the rogue Lovely Corp Technology and got them to the Lovely Corp headquarters, where his journey came to an end, as the party dudes handled the rest of the mission from that point on.

Appearance

Agent Clappers is a tall and slender African-American man with a perfectly clean-shaven bald head and a sculpted face of chiseled features. He has a long nasal bridge, deep cheekbones, and pronounced lips. Agent Clappers wears a black suit, black pants, dark black shoes, a white undershirt, and a burgundy tie. Clappers' most distinguishing feature, however, would have to be his massive testicles, which are so huge, that they create a massive bulge in his pants, that form the shape of his large scrotum stretching out the fabric of his tight pants. Starting with "How the Cookie Crumbles", and ending with "PARAD-ISIS", Agent Clappers' testicles had shrunken by 5% due to a nuclear mutation, which was barely noticeable visibly, if at all.

Personality

Agent Clappers is a very serious, no-nonsense FBI agent, who's all business and has no time for BS. Agent Clappers has very little respect for the Paradise Police Department, deeming them unworthy of dealing with the houndstooth meth kingpin case. Clappers is rather condescending toward Randall Crawford, looking upon him with little to no favor. Agent Clappers is a blank slate, completely immune to emotion, claiming in "The Father, The Son, and The Post-It Note", to have never cried in his entire life, even as a baby. Despite Clappers' professional demeanor, it's obvious there's some shady stuff going on behind the curtain, given how he's done nothing to handle to houndstooth meth kingpin case, after confiscating the evidence from the police, specifically for the purpose of handling it on his own. It would turn out later, in "The Father, The Son, and The Post-It Note", that Agent Clappers is secretly an evil villain, working for Gerald Fitzgerald at The Legion of Dooooom. Clappers is so cruel, that he had no problem with shooting dead his long-time FBI assistant, Agent Dunfore all for the sake of saving Fitz. Despite how evil he is, Agent Clappers still has standards, thinking that using nuclear bombs on the city of Paradise is taking things too far, as seen in "Operation DD". Beneath his coarse and stony demeanor, Agent Clappers does actually have some emotion, as he demonstrated being a family man, who cares deeply about his family photo of him and his loved ones not getting sullied or vandalized. If anything bad were to happen to his family photo, it would destroy him inside and immediately drive him to suicide, as he would have nothing left to live for.

Relationships

Friends/Allies

  • Agent Dunfore - Agent Dunfore is a long-time co-worker of Clappers at the FBI. His bond with Dunfore was so strong that he admitted to getting a little misty-eyed upon his retirement. However, when Clappers coldly shot Dunfore dead as he was about to foil his evil plans, it leads one to question the sincerity of his friendship with him.
  • Mutants - Agent Clappers sympathizes with the mutants and considers himself one of them, having his balls shrunk by the nuking of Paradise. Like the other mutants, Clappers hates Gerald Fitzgerald for putting him in the mutant state he's in. In "How the Cookie Crumbles", Agent Clappers proclaimed himself the leader of the mutant army and led them on a mission to get revenge on Fitz by tearing his life apart piece by piece until they'd drive him to madness and later, suicide.
  • Norf - Agent Clappers uses Norf as his body in his pants form. Despite Norf's kindness and support, Agent Clappers is extremely rude and thankless to him and doesn't even consider him a member of the team. However, deep down, Agent Clappers actually really loves Norf and considers him his best friend, even if he refuses to say it to his face.

Enemies

  • Randall Crawford - Agent Clappers views Randall as incapable of solving the houndstooth meth case and doesn't trust him to handle it properly. He used his FBI powers to revoke his rights to solve the case, making Randall really pissed off and angry with him. This caused a rivalry between the two that extended beyond just their jobs as Clappers was also trying to steal Karen from him for a brief time during "Big Ball Energy". Randall was jealous of his massive balls, in comparison to his own busted balls. In "The Father, The Son, and The Post-It Note", the revelation that Clappers was a member of the Legion of Dooooom puts his revoking the houndstooth meth case from Randall into a new perspective, even roasting him earlier in the episode by saying that someone fucked him in the chin and got his neck pregnant. Perhaps he doesn't actually view him as inferior. Quite the reverse. He wanted to hinder his police investigation with fear that he would crack the case and bust him. In "Flip the Vote", Randall found out Clappers was a member of The Legion of Dooooom and had another reason to hate him. In "Operation DD", Agent Clappers turned on Fitz and supported Randall's efforts to stop him. He gained his trust by having Randall stick his hands down his pants and feel his trustworthy testicles.
  • Gerald Fitzgerald - In "The Father, The Son, and The Post-It Note", it was revealed that Agent Clappers worked for Gerald Fitzgerald as a member of The Legion of Dooooom. Fitz found him to be one of his best employees although he found his laugh obnoxious. In "Operation DD", Agent Clappers wanted to opt out of working for Fitz, after hearing he would be using nukes in his plan but Fitz kept Clappers under his thumb, with the threat of defacing his family photo, which had Clappers grovel at his knees. When teaming up against Fitz, Clappers tackled him to get his picture back. However, when he discovered fingerprints all over it, he was driven to an extremely unnecessary suicide.

Pawns

  • Karen Crawford - In "Big Ball Energy", Agent Clappers hit on Karen and seduced her with his big testicles, knowing that with his balls, he could fill a need that her husband could not and was never able to for 15 years. Clappers knew exactly what he was doing and even rubbed his balls in Randall's face about it. At the end of the episode, Karen became so sick of balls, she never wanted to see a man's giblets again and went back to dating Randall, ending her relationship with Clappers.
  • Dolphin Queen - In "The World According to LARP", Agent Clappers tried to destroy her marriage with Fitz to drive the latter to madness. He went in disguise as Loquacious Pussyjuice to try and seduce her into dumping Fitz for him but she rejected him. Later, Fitz found out that her son wasn't even Fitz's and blackmailed her with this. Clappers met up with the Dophin Queen in person, in his actual attire, and said that if she didn't leave Fitz and sign a forged dear John Letter to him, he'd tell him the truth about Junior not being his real son.
  • Junior Fitzgerald - In "PARAD-ISIS", Agent Clappers kidnapped Junior and locked him up in the Mutant Ghetto to lure Fitz and Bullet over there and trap them in The Mutifier. Clappers told Fitz that Junior wasn't his son but actually Bullet's and was conceived when he had sex with his wife.
  • Bullet - In "PARAD-ISIS", Clappers lured Bullet into his trap and told Fitz that his son, Junior Fitzgerald, was actually the biological son of Bullet. This got Fitz really pissed off at Bullet and so Clappers threw Bullet into the trap with Fitz so he could beat the shit out of him.

Family

  • Mrs. Clappers - Agent Clappers loves his wife very much and even started a family with her. However, when his testicles shrank due to mutation he was afraid of how his wife would react and didn't have the balls to face her for over three months, no pun intended. In "Fetal Attraction", Agent Clappers worked up the nerve to return home to his wife only for her to dump him, when she saw that his balls shrank. Apparently, Mrs. Clappers is a very superficial woman who doesn't care about her husband for who he is and really only cares about his appearance. Despite this, Agent Clappers still wanted to get her back and by "PARAD-ISIS", he got his wish and reunited with the family by regrowing his tiny testicles.

Episode Appearances

Trivia

  • Agent Clappers is an obvious parody on Cedric Daniels from The Wire. He is even voiced by that character's actor, Lance Reddick.
    • In "The Father, The Son, and The Post-It Note" this reference was played with when Agent Clappers raved about how good a show The Wire was and complimented the character Lt. Cedric Daniels, specifically referring to the episode "Port in a Storm", where Lt. Daniels got shirtless and exposed his thin yet muscular body.
  • Clappers Name Confirmation
It was confirmed on Lance Reddick's Twitter that Agent Clappers' first name is "Richard". [1]
    • This could be a joke on the fact that a common diminutive of "Richard" is "Dick", making his full name roughly translate to "Penis Testicles".
  • In "Big Ball Energy", Agent Clappers hit on and seduced Karen. In "Operation DD", it was revealed that Agent Clappers was married and had kids, making him an adulterer.
  • Although he is generally considered to be deceased at the end of Season 2, it still remained ambiguous whether he actually died in "Operation DD". Agent Clappers may have leapt from Fitz's Lair and crashed into the ground off screen, causing a splash of red liquid. At this time, the town streets were flooded with pizza sauce so it's unknown if he died there or had his fall broken by the pizza sauce.
  • Agent Clappers is one of the few recurring characters to have been mutated by the nuking of Paradise. In his case, his testicles shrank by 5%.
  • Agent Clappers made a cameo in the Farzar episode, "St. Pudchugger's Day" as a dysfunctional clone of Renzo, made with the latter's DNA. This was a fourth wall joke on both characters being voiced by Lance Reddick.
