Dustin Henderson is one of the main characters of the Netflix original, Stranger Things. He is a member of The Party, along with Mike Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair, and Will Byers. He appeared in "Dungeons & Dragnet". He is voiced by Tom Kenny.
Biography[]
In "Dungeons & Dragnet", Dustin Henderson, along with the rest of The Party, got arrested by Fitz for playing Dungeons & Dragons and soon after, tazed by Gina Jabowski. When Dustin heard that he'd be getting tazed, he exclaimed "Suffering Succotash!" like Sylvester the Cat from Looney Tunes, making a joke about his lisp.
In "Christmas in Paradise", Dustin made a cameo appearance, standing outside of Possum Pizza, while Gina drove through town, announcing to everybody about the upcoming Christmas Tree Lightning.
Trivia[]
- Canonically, Stranger Things takes place in the 1980's and Mike Wheeler was born in 1971. Despite this, he and his friends were all still portrayed as teenagers, when they appeared in "Dungeons & Dragnet", an episode that took place in 2018.
- Realistically, he and his friends would have been 47 in this appearance.
- Dustin exclaiming "Sufferin Succotash!" is a quote by Sylvester the Cat from Looney Tunes, as this was his catchphrase.
- This was a play on the character's lisp, which is similar to that of Sylvester's tongue-spitting lisp.
- Dustin made a background cameo in the episode "Christmas in Paradise", along with several other one-time characters from Season 1.
