Mayor Karen Crawford (née Culpepper) is the mother of Kevin, the wife of Randall, the daughter of Agatha and Mr. Culpepper, and the mayor of Paradise, serving a first term from 2014-2020 and a second term from 2021-present. In Season 4, she would give birth to a second and third child. She is voiced by Grey Griffin.
Biography
Backstory
Karen Culpepper was born on April 2nd, 1969 to Agatha Culpepper and an unnamed and unseen father, known only as "Mr. Culpepper". Not much is known about her childhood, as it in seldom gets mentioned or flashed back to.
When Karen was in high school, she dated Richard Shelton, who knocked her up and got her pregnant with a baby, who she gave birth to on prom night in the school bathroom. Karen did not want to care for the baby so she passed the buck to her boyfriend Richard and dumped him shortly after. This baby eventually grew up to become none other than Blake Shelton.
Interestingly, Blake Shelton was born in June of 1976, meaning Karen would have been only 7 years old when she got pregnant and gave birth to him and additionally, was also attending high school at that age. This is most likely just a plothole in the show's writing.
Marriage & Motherhood
Sometime in the 1990's, as an adult, Karen Culpepper first met Randall, when he saved her from a burning building as a member of the Paradise Fire Department, as revealed by a flashback in "Parent Trap". She fell in love with Randall but was already dating an unknown man. Fortunately for her, this man died in the building as it collapsed, leaving her single and ready to mingle.
Karen and Randall fell in love and started dating for a while. She later married him and underwent the last name "Crawford". In 1999, Karen and Randall had a son, who they named Kevin.
For a long time, Karen was a very happy and loving wife to Randall and mother to Kevin. Karen would raise her son very well, supporting his dreams of becoming a cop, complimenting his artwork, and washing his mouth out with soap if she ever heard him swearing. Overall, she was a wonderful matriarch to a happy and idyllic nuclear family.
Divorce

One day, while Karen was having sex with Randall, 5-year-old Kevin walked in, holding his dad's police gun. He played with it and accidentally fired it, shooting Randall in the testicles, ... twice. This put a damper on Karen's sexual endeavors with Randall, making for a very heartbreaking experience for her. Karen was so distraught about this, that she held a hero's funeral for Randall's testicles, where she cried like a maniac over the loss of the family jewels.
Even though Randall's gonads were gone for good, this didn't mean she loved him any less. Karen would still stay true to Randall and would satisfy her testicular desires with a balldo as well as pudenda-porn movies like Sack to the Future, Scrotal Recall, and 12 Years a Slave to Some Guy's Nuts. Overall, she was able to carry on with her marriage to Randall.
However, because of this incident, Randall started becoming a lot more hostile, self-loathing, and rude, projecting his insecurities about his lack of balls onto his wife, son, and others. Karen didn't like Randall's new behavior and described him as a "Stubborn, sexist piece of shit asshole." Karen eventually became fed up with this, and she divorced him and getting shared custody of Kevin. Despite making it clear that her reasons for leaving were because of his personality, Randall still believed it was because of his testicles.
When finalizing her divorce with Randall, Karen had a conversation with him, where she made it abundantly clear that she blamed Kevin for their divorce, as it was his misuse of firearms that led to Randall's personality shift and ultimately, their divorce. This was seen via Kevin's flashback in "Operation DD", as when he was a kid, Kevin overheard this entire conversation and it really fucked him up. Karen saw this little conversation as so trivial, that she didn't even remember it years later, despite the fact that it low-key scarred her son for life.
Mayorship
In 2014, Karen Crawford ran for mayor of Paradise and won. As pointed out by Randall, despite winning the electoral vote, she still lost the popular vote to her opponent, who was nothing more than a pig in a t-shirt. Since her mayoral victory, Karen has been rubbing this in Randall's face, reminding him that she is now more powerful than he is.
In "Welcome to Paradise", Karen hired Kevin as a police officer to work at Paradise P.D., knowing that Randall would never hire him, himself. Randall was pissed off that he was forced to work with Kevin now but Karen said that as mayor, she has control over who does and doesn't work for him. On top of mocking him for his inferiority, Karen also introduced him to her new boyfriend, Dr. Dinkle and talked about how much better of a partner he was than he is.
Karen and Dr. Dinkle went on a date at Red Lobster, where Dr. Dinkle proposed to her. Randall tried to sabotage the proposal by throwing a bomb full of tear gas at them, but they didn't let that ruin the moment. Or at least, they didn't acknowledge that it was ruining the moment.
After hearing about how dangerous Terry Two-Toes was, Karen revoked Kevin's job as a police officer and Kevin was reasonably upset with this.
Despite losing his job, Kevin went to Terry Two-Toes Secret Hideout, to learn more about the Argyle Meth debacle. There, Terry Two-Toes explained that he planned on killing the mayor so he could take over Paradise. Kevin warned his mom about this but all she could think of was how he broke the rules and didn't heed his warnings.
Dr. Dinkle took Karen to his dentist's office to have sex with her. There, she found out that Dr. Dinkle was actually Terry Two-Toes in disguise. Terry locked her in the room with him and attempted to kill her. Karen secretly called Paradise P.D. behind her back, summoning the police force to come and save her. After Randall saved Karen's life, she fell back in love with him and made plans for a future date with him.
In "Ass on the Line", it was mentioned that Karen and Randall's date form the previous episode didn't go so well as Randall apparently stood her up on account of running out of Testosterone Patches and got Karen to start hating him very quickly, putting them back on the same terms as they were before.
When Randall went completely overboard with trying to find out the mystery of the murder victim, where all the evidence he got was his ass. Fitz and Gina told Karen about how out of control he got and Karen had to step in and force Randall to stop trying to solve the case. Despite this, Randall ignored her completely and went on to solve the case anyway.
In "Black & Blue", Karen overheard the chaos that went down when Fitz shot himself in the leg. She held a Black Lives Matter protest to support Fitz, being the innocent minority victim of a police shooting. Oppositionally, Randall held a Blue Lives Matter Protest in the same area, causing a big fight between the two groups.
Karen later tried to put an end to the problem, by arresting Fitz for being the cop that shot an innocent minority. This obviously didn't make anything better.
In "Karla", Karen struggles with keeping herself high in the polls, while also helping her son with getting a girlfriend. After Kevin took his last date to a Carbortion Wrex Arena, she tells him all the obvious reasons why this failed. Karen's secretary, Anton later comes in and tells her that if she wants to improve her public image, she needs to stop associating with her son. Karen is offended at first but is later convinced that despite this not being what he wanted to hear, this is the unfortunate truth.
Karen gets an idea on how to solve her problem and that's to make Kevin look cool by buying him a fancy new police car called Karla 9000 that has AI technology. However, Kevin eventually starts fucking his new car and it unwillingly becomes public knowledge during one of Karen's mayoral speeches, when Karla 9000 opens the garage door, exposing this to everyone. Karen is initially pissed off at Kevin for doing this but when Anton tells her that ever since her son became a famous car fucker, she's been gloriously rising in the polls. Karen instantly changes her tone and tells Kevin to keep on fucking Karla.
When Kevin and Karla's relationship gets toxic, the latter attempts to drive the former off of Lover's Cliff, killing him. However, Karen saves them by driving Carbortion Wrex and grabbing Karla with it. She sets Kevin free and attacks Karla with Carbortion Wrex. Eventually, Carbortion Wrex becomes self-aware and falls in love with Karla. Karla returns the feeling and they ditch both Karen and Kevin, ending the entire debacle. Sadly, this came at the expense of Karen's public image. As Anton mentioned, this led to Karen plummeting in the polls and Carbotion Wrex becoming the new highly favored public figure. As such, Anton leaves Karen for Carbortion Wrex. Karen doesn't care about this, however, because all that matters to her is her son being safe.
In "Dungeons & Dragnet", Randall tries to do some father-son bonding with Kevin, by watching a sex tape of himself and Karen, making for a very awkward moment. Karen did not actually appear in this episode. Her voice was heard making orgasm cries on the TV but that was it.
In "Police Academy", Randall's testosterone patches accidentally get switched out with Karen's Estrogen Patches, causing Randall to act very emotional and feminine and for Karen to start growing facial hair and act very gruff and domineering.
When Karen found out that Randall was not actually qualified to be a cop, she laughed and said that she wasn't surprised. She ordered him to go back to the police academy and get the proper training, necessary for becoming a cop. During his absence, she assigned Bullet as the temporary chief of The Paradise Police Department.
In "Task Force", Karen was seen in a picture. However, she did not actually appear.
In "Parent Trap", Karen got a bouquet of flowers in the mail, which got her stung in the eye with a bee. The flowers were allegedly sent to her by Randall but Karen soon found out that they were actually sent to her by Kevin, who was trying to get her and Randall back together. Kevin had also sent Randall a puppy, credited to Karen.
Karen was unhappy to hear that Randall spent city funds on remodeling his house until she found out he did this to protect himself from the Gypsy attack, a witch hunt epidemic that he heard about from Tucker Carlson on FOX News. Surprisingly, Karen actually feared this exact same nonsense, as she was a die-hard Republican who watched FOX News religiously. Kevin noticed this was the one thing his parents agreed on and saw this as an in to get them back together again.
Kevin prank called Karen and pretended to be a Gypsy, threatening to kill her. Karen went to Randall's house to hide from the Gypsies there and Randall let her in. Kevin tried to make them fall in love again by taking out some Monopoly for them to play but all they did was fight. Randall twisted Karen's arm and Karen put a mousetrap on Randall's testicles, making him scream in pain.
Karen and Randall slept in separate rooms in their Anti-Gypsy Safehouse but Kevin had another trick to try and get them back together. He disguised Hobo Cop as a Gypsy and had him sneak into the guest bedroom, where he tormented Karen. Karen screamed and yelled in terror and Randall came in to save her, only to pass out in fear and fall on the floor. Karen took it into her town hands to beat up Hobo Cop, kick him out the window, and save her husband. Randall was so happy that Karen saved her life that he fell back in love with her and Karen was so worried for Randall that she fell back in love with him too. The two of them took their love back to the bed and had sex, officially getting back together.
The following day, Karen and Randall were a happy couple again. In fact, they were so in love, that they started fucking each other in public, much to the disgust of Kevin. Karen and Randall had wild and crazy sex in the shower, the refrigerator, and their son's room, which they converted into a S&M dungeon. At this time, the two decided it was time for their now 18-year-old son to move out of the house, which Kevin was unhappy to do.
Around this time, Thanksgiving came around and Karen and Randall celebrated the holiday together. For their Thanksgiving party, they invited Hobo Cop over for dinner but not Kevin.
Karen and Randall eventually had second thoughts about kicking Kevin out of the house and called him up to invite him back but by this time, Kevin had decided that he didn't even want to live at his old house anymore and he was ready to live on his own. After being told this, Karen and Randall went to torture Johnny Depp, believing him to be a Gypsy. Upon finding out he was actually Johnny Depp, they continued to torture him as revenge for his shitty Pirates of the Caribbean and Willy Wonka movies.
In "Christmas in Paradise", Karen had tons of sex with Randall and celebrated Christmas by getting drunk at a Paradise PD Christmas party. Randall planned to propose to her at the Christmas Tree Lightning but Kevin ruined it by pulling a gun on him and demanding he confess where he was on the night of September 25th, 2018 and Randall admitted he was blowing off his date with Karen to perform at the strip club as Summer Sausage. Despite making a complete ass of himself in front of Karen like this, Karen still happily accepted his marriage proposal.
Second Marriage

In "Paradise Found", Karen got remarried to Randall at a joint event, where her wedding shared the spotlight with the execution of Dusty Marlow, who had been falsely accused of being the kingpin of the argyle meth corporation. Everything was going perfectly for them until Kevin ruined it by coming in with security footage that cleared Dusty's name. Karen was pissed off at Kevin for letting the truth out and defaming the name of Paradise and although her otherwise perfect wedding was ruined, she still got married to Randall.
In "Big Ball Energy", Karen had already started low-key cheating on her husband by flirting with Agent Clappers and his big hot balls. Randall tried to win her back by surgically implanting hundreds of testicles into his scrotum, which he dropped on her face, crushing it to a mutilation but all this did was make Karen hate testicles entirely and cure her of her ball fetish forever. Karen decided to stop seeing Clappers and just go back to being married to Randall just like old times.
In "Tucker Carlson is a Huge D**k", Karen got pissed off at Randall for giving Gina inferior pay to the other Paradise PD workers because of her gender and decided to create a women's police force, led by herself. Her employees were Gina, Patty Mae, Karla, Lady Gertrude. However, Karen proved to be more sexist to Gina than Randall ever was, forcing her to be more "ladylike", pushing a bunch of gender stereotypes on her, and valuing upholding her femininity over succeeding at exceptional civil service.
2020 Re-Election Campaign
In "Flip the Vote", Karen ran for re-election in the 2020 Paradise Mayoral Election and as part of a publicity stunt to get people to vote for her, she legalized the then-trending Houndstooth Meth. Gerald Fitzgerald of The Legion of Dooooom was pissed to hear about this, as the legalization of the drug meant his business would go down under. It was then he decided to run against Karen in the election.
Karen announced to the people that she was proud to be such a well-respected figure in Paradise and that she promised to be an excellent mayor. She also mistakenly believed she was running unopposed as her only competitor was the joke write-in candidate, "Deez Nuts". However, it turned out Deez Nuts was actually a real person who was sick of not being taken seriously, so he committed suicide. It was at that point, Karen was running unopposed but only for a few seconds as Fitz came in to announce his entry to the mayoral race.
Karen resorted to a ton of dirty tricks to try and win the election, such as deporting people who'd vote against her and engaging in shameless voter suppression. However, Karen still ended up losing the election as all of her voters got so high on houndstooth meth, that none of them voted. The only voter was Kevin, who voted for Fitz, not liking how Karen stooped so low just to win the election.
Out of misery for losing the election, Karen drank away her sorrows and got blackout drunk. At this time, she and the cops of Paradise P.D. were run out of town by the new mayor, meaning that she and everyone else had to hide out in Brickleberry National Park for the time being. Karen was so drunk the entire time, that she missed out on the entire crossover episode, "Paradise PD Meets Brickleberry".

In "Operation DD", Karen returned to Paradise and worked with Paradise P.D. and Thester to help the corrupt new mayor, Gerald Fitzgerald, return to his true self and snap out of his kingpin persona, which helped return him to normal. However, it was all too late, as by the time they helped Fitz return to his normal self, the city had been nuked to near-oblivion. While the town was experiencing the reprecussions of being nuked, Karen, the cops, and several other lucky people, including Hobo Cop, had to hide out in the sewers for shelter.
Rebuild Paradise Initiative
In "Fallout", Karen finally came out of the sewers after three months and had grown a beard during her time there. Fitz turned over the mayorship back to her and Karen made her first order of business to establish the Rebuild Paradise Initiative, which was a plan to raise the money to restore the destroyed town back to its former glory. Her first way of raising money was to have Hamilton play at the Theater and use the money from the grossly overpriced ticket sales to fund the Rebuild Paradise Initiative.
In "Top Cops", Karen announced to the public that she raised $50,000 from selling Hamilton tickets, setting the Rebuild Paradise Initiative off to a great start. Unfortunately, she made the mistake of leaving Bullet and Ja Rule with in charge of the money. Ja Rule lost that money almost instantly but Bullet kept this a secret from her. Fortunately, Bullet was able to win back the money in a basketball game against Lamar Odom before Karen even noticed. Karen worked hard on making more money for the reconstruction of Paradise, by sitting around and playing on Instagram all day, doing nothing productive.
In "Trigger Warnings", Chip Fuckyeah of the NRA bribed Karen into loosening up the gun laws of Paradise by giving her a briefcase full of Russian money, which she converted into US Dollars and used to fund her Rebuild Paradise Initiative.
In "How the Cookie Crumbles", Karen was too busy with the Rebuild Paradise Initiative to spend any time with her husband.
In "The World According to LARP", Karen tried to get some of the newly inherited riches from Hopson to fund the Rebuild Paradise Initiative but Hopson refused to donate even a fraction of his massive wealth, believing this to be a frivolous use of his money. Karen wasn't ready to give up just yet and given that Hopson was technically her grandfather, due to his recent marriage to her mother, Agatha, all she needed was for Hopson to die, which would automatically send all of his money down to her. Karen convinced Randall to make sure Hopson had a little "accident" and find a way to kill him. Randall took Hopson outback into the Forbidden Forest to give him a little "surprise". The surprise was to kill him but his plans were interrupted, when they came across a sex orgy, which Hopson joined in on. Hopson assumed that this was the surprise Randall was talking about and thanked him by giving him all of his money, which, at this point, was only two cents, since he wasted all of it on frivolous purchases.
In "What Happens in Twatemala", Karen struck a deal with Robby and Delbert and build the Twatnugget Casino on Twatemalan land, which she used to raise money for her Rebuild Paradise Initiative. However, these plans were jeopardized, when Dusty started winning all of the games and bankrupting her business. After several failed attempts to rig the games and get Dusty to lose, Karen finally got the money back from him by having him cash in his poker chops for a Pinky Pie scented eraser.
In "PARAD-ISIS", Karen had finally raised enough money to officially rebuild Paradise, thanks to all of the losers who lost more money than they earned at the Twatnugget Casino. As such, Karen worked on having the entire city reconstruction and restored to its former glory. Karen had a big moment, where she cut the red ribbon to Paradise Police Department, officially instating the completion of the Rebuild Paradise Initiative. Unfortunately, the city was only restored for a few seconds before a giant mutated Dobby came by and destroyed the entire city, ruining it even worse than it was when it started, which flushed a whole years worth of work down the toilet.
Pregnancy & Second Child
In "Ice Ice Babies", Randall wanted to have a second child with Karen, using the Frozen Jizz Cubes he found in the freezer but Karen said that she wouldn't allow it unless he can prove he can raise this new child better than Kevin. Randall eventually proved this by babysitting Hopson and Karen agreed to have Randall crack open a jizz cube, melt it down into a super soaker, and impregnate her with a baby. Unfortunately, by the time they did this, Kevin came in with a margarita made with the frozen jizz cubes and drank it all, ruining their chances of making another baby.
In "How the Cookie Crumbles", Randall went down to the Yank of America to try and buy one of his sperm samples from many years ago in hopes of impregnating Karen. However, the sperm samples were too expensive for him to buy so he enlisted Kevin and Bullet to break in and steal it, which ultimately failed with them getting busted by the cops and arrested by Gina. Fortunately, when they went to the hospital, Dr. Funtlichter explained that Karen actually was pregnant and that ever since the Shooting of Randall's Testicles, one sole sperm was able to survive the destruction of the town of Spermtropolis and lived out as a castaway on an island in Randall's balls for 15 years before it finally swam up through Karen's piss flaps and impregnated her, meaning that now, she does get to have a baby after all.
In "Blind Drunk", Karen was trapped in a Pregnancy Bubble by Randall, who worried greatly for the safety of their baby, knowing that this kid was their only possible chance at having a kid anymore. He became very controlling of her life by limiting her food and barring her from consuming any alcohol, even wine, even though Karen's doctor said it was okay for her to have a little wine every once in a while. Karen snuck out of the house to buy some Moonshine from Robby and Delbert but this only made her go temporarily blind.
In "Blimp City", Karen had Randall go down to the store and buy tons of baby stuff, right down to the very model, size, and color. She also invited her mother, Agatha Culpepper, to come down and help her with baby preparation.
In "The World According to LARP", Karen threatened Randall, that if he didn't try to get money from Hopson for the Rebuild Paradise Initiative, she would empty a swimming pool and belly-flop her baby into another Kevin.
In "Fetal Attraction", Karen used an x-ray to see the fetus in her belly and the fetus seemed to really have it out for Randall, giving him death glares and flipping him off. When Randall tried to have sex with Karen but the fetus broke his dick in half. That night, the fetus snuck out of Karen's vagina, while she was sleeping and beat Randall black and blue. He even hanged Randall from his umbilical cord and prepared to kill him. The fetus explained to Randall that this was an act of revenge for him murdering all of his sperm cells and destroying his hometown but Randall said that it wasn't him who shot himself in the balls. It was Kevin, who was responsible for everything. The fetus let Randall free and apologized for his misplaced retribution. Randall was quick to forgive him and used this as an opportunity to bond with his biological son. The two of them drank beer and watched R-rated movies and pornography before the fetus said goodbye and repelled back into Karen's vagina, to see Randall again when he was actually born. Inside of Karen's womb, the fetus declared revenge on Kevin and trained for his birth, when he was ready to attack his older brother.
In "What Happens in Twatemala", Gina found the very pregnant Karen Crawford to be somewhat erotic, since she looked like a fat person.
In "PARAD-ISIS", Karen's water broke and she went into labor, signifying that the birth of her second child was coming up very soon. This is one of the many cliffhangers that ended Season 3.
The Season 4 premiere, "The Brozone Lair", saw Karen get rushed to the hospital to give birth. As she tried to push out her new baby on the birthing bed, she ended up shitting on the table and Randall mistook her piece of shit for the newborn kid, thus giving birth to Poop Baby. Later, Karen finally gave birth to her real baby, who she and Randall named "Kevin Crawford". Karen's oldest child pointed out that he was already named "Kevin" but Karen and Randall told him that they were retracting his name and giving it to the baby, and that Kevin's new name would be "AFKAK" or "Asshole Formerly Known as Kevin". In lieu of Baby Kevin's birth, AFKAK had been demoted to second favorite, (third favorite if you count Poop Baby, who Randall favored to him).
Karen would treat Baby Kevin with tons of love, attention, and respect, like she had never done to her older son, AFKAK. Karen decided to follow through on her promise to "get it right this time" and act like a good parent to Baby Kevin, hoping for him to grow up to be someone smart, handsome, successful, and non-car-fucking, unlike the completely disappointing misfire that was AFKAK.
Instead of going on maternity leave, Karen still went back to work after giving birth to Baby Kevin, since she had lots of work to do as mayor, with rebuilding Paradise again. However, she was suffering from serious postpartum depression, causing her to have numerous emotional outbursts of anger and sadness on the job. Nevertheless, she still powered through it and made sure she got shit done.
Lovely Corp
With Paradise in shambles again, Karen had to start her Rebuild Paradise Initiative all over again. However, her new plan for rebuilding Paradise was going to be different this time. Instead of raising money from tourists like she did before, she thought of contacting some already incredibly wealthy billionaires of large companies and getting them to expand their respective franchises into Paradise and gentrify the community. After tons of strenuous struggling to get through to anyone, Karen finally managed to get a hold of Elon Musk on the phone, who agreed to come on down and see Paradise in person and consider building a new headquarters for Tesla there.
In "Diddy's Home", Karen prepared for the coming of Elon Musk by replacing all of the undesirable citizens with stunt doubles, all of which were A-list movie actors. (i.e. Randall was replaced by Rob Riggle, Hopson was replaced by Gilbert Gottfried, Hobo Cop was replaced by Christopher Walken, and many more). However, when Elon Musk came to Paradise, Randall mistook him for someone else and placed him under citizens arrest, starting a huge fight between the two of them. Ultimately, this ended with Elon Musk getting the shit beaten out of him and he ultimately decided to leave Paradise entirely.
In "A Star is Porn", Karen continued her hunt for a rich franchiser and landed many interviews with such other billionaires as Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Lindell, and Jeff Bezos but couldn't strike a deal with any of them. This was all until she was introduced to the enigmatic and eccentric plutocratic billionaire, Charles Lovely, the leader of a massive corporation called "Lovely Corp", who was more than willing to expand his corporation to her town.
In "Good Jeans", Karen got to know Charles Lovely a little bit better, as they discussed business at Red Lobster. Karen noticed a lot of extremely bizarre things about Charles Lovely that put her off but she ignored it all, not wanting to offend the man she was trying to make a life-saving business deal with. Charles Lovely offered to help gentrify Paradise by building the new Lovely Corp Headquarters right smack dab in the middle of the town. Karen was initially opposed to having him build his HQ there, since that land already belonged to Robby and Delbert's crackhouse and was rightfully their property but Charles Lovely was very eager to have his HQ built specifically there and wasn't willing to negotiate. Karen wanted this business transaction just as much as he did, so she was fine with unlawfully pushing Robby and Delbert off their land just to adhere to Charles Lovely and his oddly specific wishes.
Following the construction of the new Lovely Corp Headquarters, came several other Lovely Corp facilities such as the Lovely Museum of Fine Art and Lovely History Museum, which gentrified the town and brought in a slew of the most classy and upstanding of tourists, who brought lots of business to the town and funded Karen with enough money to repair the buildings of Paradise. With that, Paradise was rapidly rebuilt and Karen's second Rebuild Paradise Initiative was in the bag in merely a fraction of the time her last initiative took.
In "The Butt Cut", Karen retired her role as mayor and sold Paradise to Charles Lovely for $10,000,000. Karen continued to work as the mayor of the town, while Charles Lovely reigned as her superior, now having legal ownership of the town she ruled. In "Boat!", Randall would waste all of the money Karen made, buying a stupid speedboat called S.S. Cockchugger and installing a bunch of meaningless moats all around the streets of the city.
Everything about to Lovely Corp transaction went to Hell for Karen in "The Eternal Reckoning", when Charles Lovely enacted his evil secret plan aptly titled "The Eternal Reckonling" that he'd been plotting behind Karen's back since day one. His plan involved him trapping everyone inside of Paradise, launching the city into the skies, and having Baby Kevin kidnapped and flown to the roof of the Lovely Corp HQ, where he and his Satanist cult of CEOs could consume Baby Kevin's soul and give themselves immortality. Karen was initially in denial about this and kept trying to reason that Charles Lovely is still a nice person but eventually she had to admit she made a mistake, letting him come to town and worked with the Paradise PD to have him taken down. She infiltrated Lovely Corp HQ with them and made it to the roof, where the party dudes all fought with Charles Lovely and his minions but ultimately failed to save Baby Kevin, as Charles Lovely escaped in a helicopter with the baby being held at gunpoint. Karen urged Randall to do something to save them but Randall couldn't think of anything to do beyond singing "Pump Up the Jam". This unfortunate cliffhanger ended the season and series as a whole.

Karen Crawford is a red-headed Caucasian adult woman, with short red hair. She wears a red business suit and matching red business skirt and black high heels and a white pearl necklace and white pearl earrings.
Personality
Karen Crawford is a strong, independent woman who doesn't need a man. Independence is Karen's creed and whenever she wants something, she goes through the trouble to get it, not letting anyone or anything hold her back or keep her down. She is proud, outspoken, quick-witted, and occasionally sarcastic and though her job brings with it a lot of stress, she still manages to stay relatively calm and collected under pressure and keeps outbursts to a minimum, which is more than can be said about Randall, making her a phlegmatic foil to her husband and the smarter partner in the relationship.
Karen is obviously very political, given that she's the mayor of Paradise and takes great pride in her mayoral decisions. As a narcissist, Karen's main worry as mayor is her public relations, which means that she prioritizes her image over being morally upstanding, leading her to often make unethical decisions in secret, even if they may be harmful to others or even illegal all for the sake of boosting the way she, as a mayor and a person, appears to others. Most of the time, Karen succeeds in her shifty behavior and gets away with it too, feeling limited guilt or remorse about doing so. All in all, this makes Karen an exemplary politician.
When it comes to family, Karen is the voice of reason to Randall and she's proud of the fact that she has a higher authority than he does. As his ex-wife, she tends to avoid him as much as possible, although this changed in Season 2, when she fell back in love with him again. In the same vein, even during her time hating Randall, she still cared about Kevin and loved him very much. However, around the same time she fell back in love with Randall, her respect for Kevin slowly deteriorated over the series to the point where she became a bitter and resentful mother to him, just teetering on the line of being psychologically abusive. Eventually, Karen lost so much respect for her son that in Season 3, she had another kid just so that she could mother a child, who she could be proud of.
Karen is a bit of a wino, who commonly treats herself to some wine every now and again. Her desire for wine was epitomized in "Blind Drunk", when she jumped through hoops to get some forbidden wine, as she simply couldn't live without it. Karen has the tendency to get drunk at her lowest moments, such as in "Flip the Vote", when she got blackout wasted over losing the 2020 election.

Family
- Kevin Crawford - Karen is the mother of Kevin. Unlike Randall, Karen is a kinder, more loving and nurturing mother to her only son. Karen has proven that she actually cares about Kevin and is concerned for his well-being. Also in contrast with Randall, Karen is supportive of Kevin's dreams of becoming a cop, despite anything her ex-husband says. In "Welcome to Paradise", Karen gave Kevin a job at Paradise Police Department, working for Randall. Karen used her mayoral powers to overrule Randall and force him to allow Kevin to be a cop at Paradise P.D. Karen is not perfect, however. In "Karla", Karen discouraged Kevin from dumping his abusive girlfriend, Karla just so that she could better her own image by representing her son's interracial relationship. However, in the end, Karen realized that what she was doing was wrong, had a change of heart, and saved Kevin's life when Karla was about to drive him off a cliff. Although Karen usually pulled through in the end and tried to work past her many faults as a mom, she began to steadily decline as a mother in Season 2. In "Big Ball Energy", Karen was mad at Kevin for arresting an innocent man so she legally made "Kevin Sucks Day" into an official, city-wide holiday, which was a day dedicated solely to hating Kevin. She never changed this in the end. In "Operation DD", Karen and Randall both used a brain device to see one of Kevin's childhood memories. This was something that neither of them remembered but Kevin remembered in great detail because of how traumatic it was. In this memory, Karen and Randall blamed their divorce on a then 5-year-old Kevin and insulted him. Karen and Randall felt really bad about themselves for how they treated Kevin and they promised to start being better parents to him. Karen was the only parent to follow through on this promise.
- Randall Crawford - Randall is the husband, turn ex-husband, turn husband again of Karen. Karen divorced Randall after Kevin shot him in the testicles and turned him into an angry, misogynistic, asshole. Randall told Karen that because she was a woman, she would never become mayor. Out of spite, Karen divorced him and went on to become the mayor of Paradise, which she would continue to rub in his face. Throughout Season 1, Karen was a bitter and spiteful ex-wife to Randall, mocking him with her mayoral power, her new more attractive boyfriends, and by using her power to mess with Randall's life by doing things such as forcing him to employ Kevin at Paradise Police Department, even if this was partly done out of love for her son. In "Task Force", Kevin tried to force Karen and Randall to fall in love again, by capitalizing on a Gypsy threat, propagated by Tucker Carlson. Although the two violently fought out of rage, they eventually fell madly back in love again just in time for Thanksgiving. The two did a lot of hard-core and abstract fucking and they were once again, a family, just like Kevin wanted. In "Christmas in Paradise", Randall proposed to Karen and she accepted. In "Paradise Found", Randall and Karen got remarried and they had officially become a couple again, just like old times.
- Agatha Culpepper - Karen loves her mom and asked for her support in preparing for her upcoming second child. However, Agatha hates Karen's husband, Randall and believes she can do so much better than him. Karen usually doesn't mind the kinds of things Agatha says about Randall. However, in "Blind Drunk", Agatha must have crossed the line, when she told Randall that the upcoming baby would be better off if he was dead. This was the last straw for Karen and made her demand that her mother leave, which she didn't because around this time, she got married to Stanley Hopson and was moving into Paradise. Despite how mad she was at her mom at the time, Karen still went to her for help with the Rebuild Paradise Initiative in "The World According to LARP", asking her for money to fund it but Agatha didn't provide much help as she put Hopson in charge of all the finances.
Co-Workers
- Anton - Anton is Karen's pollster and he helps her test well with the citizens of Paradise by showing her how she's doing in the polls and telling her what people do and don't like about her so that she knows what to expound on and what to avoid. Anton is a good and honest man, who tells Karen the truth even if it's not something she wants to hear because he knows that in the long run, telling her the unfortunate truth is the best decision to make. However, Anton is also a very unethical pollster, who supports and sometimes even encourages Karen's dirty and illegal tricks in maintaining her mayorship.
- Patty Mae - Patty Mae is the receptionist at Karen's office. Patty Mae is a good receptionist who does her job well and who listens to Karen, understanding what it is she wants for the city. In "Tucker Carlson is a Huge D**k", Karen hired Patty Mae as a member of her women's force.
Enemies
- Gerald Fitzgerald - At first, Karen and Fitz didn't really have much of a relationship and would only briefly communicate in passing. In "Black & Blue", Karen was shocked and appalled to hear that Fitz, an armed police officer, shot himself, an innocent black man. Concerned for Fitz's well-being, she arrested Fitz as punishment for his heinous hate crime. This all changed in "Flip the Vote", when Fitz ran against Karen in the 2020 mayoral election, turning the two into bitter rivals. At the end of the episode, Karen's hate for Fitz only grew stronger, when he announced that he was the kingpin of the houndstooth meth corporation and ran her, as well as the rest of the cops out of town. Due to Fitz being redeemed in "Operation DD", it's not likely Karen still holds a grudge toward him.
Other
- Bullet - Karen has a tremendous amount of respect for Bullet, as seen in "Police Academy", when she appointed him as the new chief of police, during Randall's absence. She later congratulated him for all his work on keeping the city safe by busting prostitution rings and cleaning drugs off the streets. In "How the Cookie Crumbles", it was revealed that one night, she had a sexual encounter with Bullet. Apparently, she got drunk and let him lick peanut butter off of her vagina, as Bullet would later clarify in "Blind Drunk". It was also shown later in "How the Cookie Crumbles" that she and Bullet had full-on sex with each other, leading to a brief pregnancy scare. It is unknown if they had this happened during Karen's marriage to Randall or not but judging by how she tried to keep it secret from Randall, it can be inferred that this was an affair.
Promiscuity
One of Karen's lesser-known but distinguishing traits is her sluttiness. She's a bit of a slut, who's had one-night-stands with several different men, besides just her husband, a handful of which she likely fucked while still married to him.
Karen supposedly dated Richard Shelton back in high school and had unprotected sex with him. In "Blimp City", she admitted that back in 1976, Karen gave birth to Blake Shelton in the school bathroom on prom night. This was Karen's first kid and obviously, she didn't stick around to mother him and Richard would later go on to marry Dorothy Shackleford and raise the kid with her instead. Karen is still open about her past and her current family is well aware of this. (A plothole was created in "Good Jeans", when her birthday was revealed to be April 2nd, 1969. Because Blake Shelton was born on June 18th, 1976, this means that all of this transpired when she was 7 years old).
Sometime in 2018, (around the events of Season 1 and shortly before remarrying Randall), Karen had sex with former president, Barack Obama in order to get the launch codes for some nuclear weapons he stockpiled under Paradise, which Obama initially did in exchange for letting Karen write the critically-panned Games of Thrones series finale, "The Iron Throne". She didn't feel the need to bring this up until two years later, in "Operation DD", which came as a surprise to Randall.
Karen fell in love with Agent Clappers briefly in "Big Ball Energy", thanks to him seducing her with his colossal testicles. However, she fell out of love with him and back in love with Randall before anything happened.
In "Fallout", Karen had sex with Randall's mutant anal polyp, although in her defense, she thought he was the actual Randall.
In "How the Cookie Crumbles", it was suggested that Karen had a sexual encounter with Bullet at an unspecified date, as seen by how she shooed him out of the room, when she learned that she was pregnant after having sex with nobody except for her impotent husband. Earlier in the episode (and again in "Blind Drunk"), Bullet claimed that he and Karen had a fling one night, where she got drunk and tricked him into licking peanut butter off of her c-nt. Due to Karen's unwillingness to let Randall know about this, it can be assumed this was an affair that happened sometime during their second marriage.
