In "Black & Blue", one of the news outlets that provided coverage on the Shooting of Gerald Fitzgerald was MSNBC. Rachel Maddow commented on the situation and tried to demonize Gerald Fitzgerald as a racist cop, claiming that "Officer Fitzgerald" dressed as the brutish, wrestler Mr. T for Halloween and watched violent cartoons like Rocky & Bullwinkle. She then showed a photoshopped picture of Boris Badenov lighting a cartoon bomb with Donald Trump, Jr.. When she witnessed Fitz having a politically ambiguous orgy with Dusty and Gina, she didn't know who to label the victim/oppressor and just worried about trying to connect the event to Russia.
