Pubesalad Crawford (pronounced: "Pooh-Beh-Suh-Lawd") was the grandfather of Randall and the great-grandfather of Kevin. It was never specified whether he was the paternal or maternal grandfather of Randall, meaning that Mavis could either be his daughter or daughter-in-law. He never appeared on screen (and it's presumed he's deceased) but he was mentioned in "Operation DD". Although his name appears to be "Pube Salad", it's pronounced in a different, less shocking manner, (see above). Kevin was middle-named after Pubesalad, leading to him getting the embarrassing nickname, "Pubesalad", which, in that context, is pronounced properly.
Biography[]
In "Operation DD", Randall gave Kevin the middle name, "Pubesalad", after his grandfather. Kevin expressed displeasure with this being his new middle name since it's spelled the same as "Pube Salad". He asked if he could go back to having no middle name but it was too late because just then, Robby called him "Pubesalad", so the name had already stuck.
In "Good Jeans", Earl addressed Kevin by his full name on the jury of the courthouse.
Trivia[]
- In "Karla", Randall pawned off a watch from drugs, that he said was given to him by his dead grandfather. It is unknown whether this "grandfather" was Pubesalad or if it was a different grandfather.
- Because of the Crawford Curse, it can be deduced that Pubesalad died at age 50 on the date of July 13th.
