Paradise PD Wiki

Puffy the Cigarette is a children's mascot, who gets children to smoke cigarettes. He has recently joined The Legion of Dooooom. He first appeared in "Parent Trap". He is voiced by Roger Black.

Biography[]

In "Parent Trap", Puffy the Cigarette had a float in the Thanksgiving parade. Here, he threw out a bowl of cigarettes to children, who started smoking them. Later, Dusty invaded the Thanksgiving parade and fired a flaming arrow at Puffy, lighting his head on fire and knocking him off his float. A bunch of kids came by with some cigarettes and lit them on Puffy's flaming head like a lighter.

In "Paradise Found", Puffy the Cigarette was one of the villains to return as a member of The Legion of Dooooom.

In "The Father, The Son, and The Post-It Note", Puffy and the other members of The Legion of Dooooom invaded the Catholic Church to steal monkey. They were swarmed by an army of nuns and one of the nuns took out a candleholder and lit Puffy with it.

In "Operation DD", Puffy was one of the singers of "Bad Guys Don't Have to be Bad at Being Guys".

In "Top Cops", Puffy broke into Fitz's Apartment to await his next mission but Fitz told him that The Legion of Dooooom was disbanded, much to his disappointment as now, Puffy was out of a job.

Appearance[]

Puffy the Cigarette is a giant anthropomorphic cigarette (presumably a guy in costume) with big eyes, a smiling mouth with rosy cheeks, white gloves, and giant black and red boots.

Personality[]

As someone who never talks and has no major roles, little to nothing is known about Puffy's personality other than him being a typical mascot, who entertains kids. Puffy gives cigarettes to children and encourages America's youth to smoke. As of "Paradise Found", Puffy has become more a straight-up villain than simply a bad influence. Along with his teammates, Puffy sells meth, robs churches, rigs mayoral elections, and kills police officers.

Trivia[]

  • Puffy may be a joke on the regulation of nicotine marketing, established by Richard Nixon on April 1st, 1970, (though it didn't take full effect until January 1st, 1971), which prevented cigarette companies from advertising on TV and radio and how cigarette companies would find clever ways of working around this by instead advertising in different ways, such as magazine ads, subliminal messages on racecars, and reverse psychology in anti-smoking campaigns. In this case, Puffy the Cigarette is a guy in a costume being used as a technically legal method of advertising cigarettes.
  • Puffy the Cigarette has never had any dialogue, or even as much as a major role in an episode.
    • Despite having never spoken, Roger Black is still credited as his voice actor.
