Paradise PD Wiki
The Cop Car

The Squad Car “sedan” is based on the 1975-1979 Chevy Nova 9c1 Police Package, it is owned by Randall Crawford as the primary vehicle for Paradise Police Department. The SUV version is based on the 1998- 2004 Isuzu Rodeo. It is used for transportation, chasing runaway criminals, and holding the arrested in the back. It appears in every episode of the series.

Biography

In "Welcome to Paradise", Randall overdosed on testosterone patches and turned into a giant red demon monster, who picked up his own car, smashed it into a ball, and threw it across the streets. Gerald pointed out to the Chief that he just destroyed his own car.

In "Black & Blue", Gerald shooting himself in the leg was caught on the dash cam footage of the squad car, which Gina leaked to the internet.

In "Meet the Jabowskis", Kevin was allowed to use the squad car instead of his own car for the first time. He drove around a hooker dressed as Gina to scare the criminals of Paradise. However, the hooker died in the car, making her unusable for the mission from then on.

In "Paradise Found", The PPD Copter temporarily replaced the car as Randall's favorite method of transportation before getting repossessed in "Big Ball Energy".

In "Who Ate Wally's Waffles?", Thester and Frank planted a dolly bomb under Randall's SUV in an attempt to kill him, so that he wouldn't solve the houndstooth meth case. Kevin noticed that Randall was about to get into a bombed car and tackled him just in time for the car to blow up, saving his life.

In "Flip the Vote", Randall and all of the cops, along with Karen piled into the car to escape Paradise and go to Brickleberry National Park, when Fitz took over.

In "Paradise PD Meets Brickleberry", Gina hijacked the car and drove it after Firecracker Jim in an epic chase scene but not before shooting flat the tires of Ethel's patrol vehicle.

In "Operation DD", Randall, the cops, and Karen drove the squad car from Brickleberry back to Paradise after getting busted by Thester but they had to leave the car behind when they were locked out thanks to Fitz's newly built border wall around Paradise.

Trivia

  • The squad cars only appeared as sedans in the first few episodes before an SUV was added to the fleet.
  • Most of the squad cars are older model vehicles referencing the fact that the Paradise police department is low on funding. Comparing this to the fact that the Diamond city police dept. “which clearly has better funding” typically drive modern style Dodge chargers as their squad cars
  • The squad car's licence plate reads "CHIEF", signifying that it's main driver is Chief Randall Crawford.
  • The squad car was destroyed in the episodes "Welcome to Paradise" and "Who Ate Wally's Waffles?", yet was immediately rebuilt without question.
  • In "Big Ball Energy", Dusty referred to his squad car as a "Crown Vic", suggesting that his car is a Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.
